We provide confidential advice and mentoring directly to the individual participant via regular secure video calls and encrypted text chat, meeting participants wherever they are based across the world. Importantly, CTM allows this to be scheduled at a time that is convenient for the participant from the comfort of their own home.
This multi-layered strategy not only significantly reduces the number of patient dropouts, but it also ensures patient understanding and compliance, along with safeguarding correct dosage management and adverse event logging.
CTM provides a complete solution that drives positive trial outcomes by ensuring the participant have the appropriate support and advice needed to reach their endpoint successfully.
CTM can integrate into any stage of the clinical trial to provide custom participant-focused support and guidance. Our team operates independently from both the clinical site and the asset sponsor, therefore, blinding and confidentiality remain resolute.
The purpose of the CTM group is to ensure positive trial outcomes and minimize patient dropout or error. We do this by focusing on the experience of each individual patient. By providing education and support we drive and encourage participant compliance and adherence. CTM uses experienced healthcare specialists as mentors to give ongoing and regular encouragement to study participants in a way that is tailored individually for your specific study outcomes. All information that CTM gives is up-to-date, clinically supported and in line with recommended guidelines while protecting study blinding, control, and patient confidentiality.
For me, being a doctor is about more than just prescribing drugs. I am passionate about finding better medicines, devices, techniques and therapies that allow me to be a better doctor for my patients and ultimately, to ensure that my patients get the best quality of care.
I started CTM when I noticed that clinical trials often fail to meet their objectives because of communication breakdown between the sponsor, the clinical team and the participants. This leads to poor adherence, protocol deviation, decreased motivation and eventually the participant error or even dropout.
I realized is that this breakdown is actually due to the strict nature of blinding and confidentiality. Clinical sites and sponsors take an abundance of caution to maintain blinding and to avoid conflicts of interest, however, it is this very process that prevents participant interaction creates isolation and drives poor compliance and dropout.
CTM was created to fill this gap. We interact regularly with the participants via encrypted text and secure video calls. We provide a sounding board for their concerns and questions in a friendly and approachable way, and importantly, we do this in a way that aligns with sponsor needs and meets clinical team guidelines.
